Are people who vehemently oppose gay rights sometimes gay, even though they are married with children? I think we all know the answer to that.
There is nothing wrong with being gay, but there is something terribly wrong with Moulitsas Zúñiga's very public past efforts to thwart gay rights. If you want to blame someone for "don't ask, don't tell," then blame the ex-military people like Moulitsas Zúñiga who raised their voices in unison against gays in the military back in 1993, when President Bill Clinton made opening the military to openly gay servicepeople one of his first priorities after taking office.
And carefully consider the firestorm President Barack Obama would be walking into if he made gays in the military his first priority, as President Bill Clinton did. For example, just look at how Markos C. Alberto Moulitsas Zúñiga (MAMZ) attacked President Bill Clinton for his efforts to open the military to gays:
Sure, the above letter from "Markos C. A. Moulitsas" is from 1993, when Moulitsas Zúñiga was a college freshman. But since that time Moulitsas Zúñiga also spent two years training with the CIA, voted for George H.W. Bush, and worked on the campaign of Republican Henry Hyde (anti-abortion), who lead the impeachment of Bill Clinton in the US House of Representatives.
There's quite a bit more to learn about Markos C. Alberto Moulitsas Zúñiga that was first researched and published at the Truth About Kos blog. Read, for example:

If the above letter doesn't lead you to wonder about Markos C. Alberto Moulitsas Zúñiga (MAMZ), then the 26-count "Indictment" surely will.
